Gift Ideas for the Holiday Season

The Holiday Season, is quickly upon our heels, and I know most of you probably have a lot of your shopping done. Then again there maybe some of you out there like me, and just getting started on your Christmas shopping.  The other day I was thinking of gifts that I could possibly make for family and friends, and I came up with a few ideas that I thought I would share with you.

One of the gifts that came to mind was one I received years ago from a friend.  You can use it just for the Holidays or keep it out all year long. I love mine so much I keep it out all year long.  Here is the picture of the gift I am talking about.

Snowman Gift Pot

Paint the rim of the pot (here they show white, but you can paint it any Holiday color you like)

Paint the Pot(again any holiday color)

When dry paint the inside of the pot, I would choose red or green.

Paint a wavy line of Snow White around the bottom inch of the pot

Transfer any Holiday design you choose onto the pot using Chaco Paper(you can find it at local Art Supply Stores)

Paint Happy Holidays on the Rim; to personalize it you can paint their name as well

For the Snow effect, take a stencil brush dip it in thinned snow white paint, flick the tip of the brush to splatter paint on the pot(snow falling effect)

Once it's dry fill the pot full of Goodies!
